Dear SIU English teachers,
The company is launching Video Content Project.
The details are as follows:

Objective

The objective of this project is to create video content about the Philippines to attract Japanese English learners to the Philippines and to support them in their English learning.

Method

(1) Registration
To register, simply submit your name and email using the registration form at the bottom of this page. It only takes a minute to complete. You will receive an email with a link to your Google drive shared folder within 24 hours.

(2) Decide on a topic for your video
Think of something from the Philippines that you would like to introduce to your students.
Example topic: I would like to introduce famous tourism spot in Manila / Manila Ocean Park. List of Category: Filipinos Food, Tourism, Spots, Daily Life, Beautiful Beach, Mountain, Nature, Restaurant, Coffee shop, Shopping Mall, Culture, History, School, Sports, Family, Party and special gathering, Man and Woman, Religion, Entertainment, News, Medicine, etc

(3) Video recording (smartphone is OK)
 1. Brief self-introduction clip: About 15 sec. Tell what you are going to introduce. (See sample video)
 2. Video: 2 or 3 videos (within 2 min in total)
 3. Manuscript: Please describe tentative manuscript for voice-over (text file).
 3. Upload: Upload all the video files to Google drive folder.
 4. Decision: The creator will receive an “Accept”, “Revision” or “Reject” notification by email. If it is a Reject, unfortunately you will not be able to proceed to the next step.

(4) Creating an audio file
The video editor edits the video and shares it with the creator. The creator should record the voice for voice-over with a smartphone while watching the video. Share the audio file and the manuscript text file in a Google Drive folder.

Sample Videos

NOTE
1. Please hold the camera as still as possible when shooting. Using a tripod is the best way to do this. Basically, don’t move the camera and shoot from a fixed point.
2. If the quality of the video is poor, it may be “rejected”.
3. When recording audio, use standard, correct English, no slang.
4. When recording audio on your smartphone, please speak about 30cm away from the microphone so that your breath is not directly on it.
5. If your video is accepted, you will be paid 300 Php per work along with your salary. You can submit 3 videos per month until they are accepted.
6. The copyright of the completed video belongs to the organizer.
